Joseph Stalin was born on December 18, 1878, in Gori, Georgia. His birth name was Ioseb Besarionis Dze Jughashvili. He joined the Bolshevik movement and participated in various revolutionary activities.
Stalin’s rise to power was remarkable. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, Stalin rose to prominence in the Communist Party. Following Lenin’s death in 1924, Stalin maneuvered his way to becoming the supreme leader of the Soviet Union by the late 1920s.

Stalin was a totalitarian. His rule was marked by widespread repression, purges, forced labor camps (Gulags), and famine. He implemented collectivization of agriculture, leading to widespread starvation, particularly in Ukraine during the Holodomor, where millions died. Stalin’s Great Purge in the 1930s targeted political rivals, military leaders, and ordinary citizens, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

At the outbreak of World War II, Stalin led the Soviet Union, playing a crucial role in the defeat of Nazi Germany. However, his post-war policies continued to suppress dissent and maintain a strict authoritarian regime.

Stalin died on March 5, 1953, leaving behind a legacy of fear, oppression, and immense loss of life.
He was one of the men remembered for the immense suffering, devastation and death they caused mankind through their ideas, ideologies and actions.

It is disheartening and unbelievable that while humanity remembers, with revulsion, this ugly past, and believes such atrocious history has become a thing of the past, some powerful and influential individuals and organizations have started to generate, project and spread ideas and ideologies that could ultimately bring immense suffering, devastation and death to their fellows.

In today’s world of liberalistic individualism where everything is permitted, anything is possible as well.

On this note, my passionate appeal and advice is that we should all strive to independently research and critically scrutinize, re-evaluate, and try to imagine the eventual outcome of any idea or ideology, being bandied about _irrespective of who is involved. This would enable us make informed, better, and perhaps, life-saving decisions, even if such idea or ideology comes from a political leader, a religious leader, a university professor or a world organization.

Nothing should be accepted as being good, proper or right, either on mere face-value or just because it came from a respected or exalted individual or organization. If we accept and subscribe to any idea or ideology on face value _because it sounds good or proper, or just because they are being projected by an exalted person or organization, like the media for instance, we run the risk of dismissing timely critics and naysayers, together with their words of caution, with a careless wave of hand, as ”unprogressive”, “bad” or “disloyal” people.

By dismissing critical scrutiny and research, and concluding every sweet-sounding, seemingly nice idea or ideology as being “good” or “modern” and therefore of no regrettable consequences, we may unknowingly, but culpably, be working to enable some remote ideologues to repeat such devastation, suffering and deaths as that of Joseph Stalin.

Like the many subscribers of Joseph Stalin’s ideas and ideologies which enabled him, back then, to gain popularity, power and control over those who carried out his orders or directives, we are just like the small but very necessary chain-parts which enable a machine to achieve heavy duties, _if we subscribe to his ideas and ideologies. This makes such subscribers culpable before Divine Justice on the Day of Reckoning.

If we disregard this appeal, and jump onto the bandwagon of “new age culture”, subscribing to its many dangerous ideologies and ideas, thereby helping to keep them spreading and flourishing, we may well be helping to prepare the ground for history to repeat itself, and thus damnably bring tragic or pernicious consequences upon ourselves when it happens!
